Readers will note that this time I did not use the Chinese astrological symbol for the new year. It's the pig, and that's bound to bother some muslims. I looked at other possibilities. John Hanna, noted neo-con warmonger, has ominously called 2007 "the Year of Iran". But the UN has designated 2007 the "Year of the Dolphin". I'll go with that.
